Pantyhose Purse
Finally finished this thing!
While making this piece there was a lot of repetitive process. Stuffing the pantyhose with Polyfil, wrapping the white string around the intertwined pantyhose and finally threading and wrapping the handle. I began thinking about my morning routine or the steps I take before I go out at night. I was concerned about how much time I was wasting and how I sacrifice my comfort for fashion. By subjecting myself to a repetitive process, that was a bit painful at times, and letting it result in a completely impractical and over sized shoulder bag, I was able to focus on my own daily impractical processes.

West Virginia Drag
I went to visit my sister in Huntington, West Virginia last weekend. Thinking that Huntington was a small town in a conservative state, I never expected to end up at a gay bar with an every weekend drag show. I thought the Ladies of Stonewall looked great and I had to share the pictures that I got!

Pantyhose Project 2
I decided to post my sketches because I love to see other artists sketch books next to the final project. I've decided that I'm going to combine the pantyhose orbs with a hand made rope in between, kind of like an umbilical cord. But I wanted them to hang over your shoulder or around the back of your neck like a fashionable bag.
I've posted my most recent steps in this project. Both the balls are complete! I added quite a bit more string to the forms, making them more tightly compact and controlled. Next step is to connect the boogers!
